Fun with Colored Pencils!

So maybe it was the fantastic doodles of Anthony at Sketchadventure, or perhaps my inner self telling me how awful I am at coloring my work, but either way, something prompted me to pull out the old colored pencils.
Here's a medicine man who rides a bike.

And here's a girl with a sword.

Frog and Link

A few weeks ago while my wife played Chrono Trigger I did this little doodle of my favorite character.  He's the best.

Also, we took the train to california last weekend, which meant 17 hours of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and a package of mint Newman's O's.  This is Link after borrowing his father's sword and shield, breaking into the castle via a secret sewer passage.
So many glorious years of saving the princess.

We also grabbed Sam's old wii while in california, which means I will most likely give in and buy Skyward Sword in the next few months.

happy riding,

treasure hunters study

I'm working on a piece about some treasure hunters and I yet again went to Toppi for inspiration.
Working in blue was kinda neat.
A finished treasure hunters piece coming soon.

old man nib

If you're one of the few out there who has looked at more than one of my recent posts, you know that I'm on a pen and ink high.  It's not over yet, and in fact, it's getting even more serious.  I dug up my old nib pens and a bottle of Higgins Black Magic and began to skritch away.

skritch skritch skritch

I probably need a new nib.
